Sinibak sa pwesto ang dalawang Provincial Director at mga tauhan ng Provincial Intelligence Unit ng Laguna PNP dahil sa di-umanoy sangkot sa pagkawala ng mga nawawalang sabungero sa lalawigan ng Laguna.
Tinukoy ng ni PRO CALABARZON Regional Director Brig Gen Antonio Yarra ang tatlong pulis na sina Patrolman Roy Navarete, Police Staff Sergeant Daryl Paghangaan and Police Master Sergeant Michael Claveria na pawang kasapi ng Laguna Provincial Intelligence Unit maging ang kasalukuyang Provincial Director ng Laguna na si Col.Rogarth Campo at si dating Provincial director Col.Serafin Petalio dahil sa itinuturong nasa likod umano ng pagkawala ng mga sabungero..
Itinuro ng dalawang testigo sa naging pagdinig sa senado nang mawala si Ricardo “Jonjon” Lasco sa San Pablo City noong August 30, 2021.
Kaya naman agad na ipinag-utos ni Yarra sa Regional Personnel and Records Management Division Chief, Col Raquel Lingayo na pansamantalang italaga ang mga ito sa kampo upang hindi magamit ang impluwensya ng kanilang posisyon habang isinasagawa ang imbestigasyon
“I have already ordered the relief of the 3 personnel from their present assignments and had them transferred to Regional Headquarters as the investigation continues and we will make sure that all facts and information regarding this matter will be taken into consideration for the quick resolution of these cases and to give justice to the families of the missing victims,” ayon kay Yarra .
Matapos ang pagdinig sa senado ,agad na nagpatawag ng Regional Director ng Special Case Conference na dinaluhan nina Director, Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS) 4A Brig Gen Emmanuel Hebron, Deputy Regional Director for Operations, Col Edwin Quilates, Regional Legal Officer Col Thomas Valmonte at ni Chief, Regional Investigation and Detective Division, Col Francisco Luceña III.
Nagsasagawa rin ng imbestigasyon ang RIAS 4A na ‘motu propio’ sa iregularidad na sangkot din umano sa illegal drugs ang mga akusado hindi lang sa pagakawala ni Lasco .
kaya naman agad na bineripika ng Regional Investigation and Detective Division ang alegasyon.
Ipinag-utos rin ni Yarra kay Lingayo na maglabas ang agad na restrictice custody ang RIAS kapag napatunayang nasampahan na ng kasong administratibo ang mga akusado.
“The accusation against our personnel as to their participation in the missing sabungeros is a serious matter and our leadership will not stop until the truth will come out and bring justice to the victims. If we found enough evidence to charge them, then we will do so. The PNP has no room for erring personnel,” dagdag pa ni Yarra.
Samantala,ipinag-utos na rin ni Yarra kay Provincial Director ng Laguna, Col Rogarth Campo na magpaliwanag sa alegasyon sa kanya na tumanggap umano siya ng 1 milyong piso mula sa negosyanteng si Atong Ang .
Kaugnay nito, kinumpirma ito ni PNP spokesperson Col.Jean Fajardo na sinibak na rin kaninang tanghali sa pwesto sina Campo at Petalio.
Pumalit sa pwesto si Col.Cecilio Ison Jr. bilang bagong Provincial director ng Laguna.
