SEVEN individuals were rescued from a submerged motorbanca near Km 11, Sasa in Davao City .
Upon receiving the report morning of January 4, the personnel at CGSS Km 11 promptly proceeded to verify the situation. The victims, traveling from Davao to the Island Garden City of Samal, encountered large waves and strong currents, leading to the unfortunate capsizing of their vessel.
The dedicated team from Coast Guard Sub-station Km 11 successfully rescued all seven victims and promptly handed them over to the appropriate authorities for medical evaluation to ensure their well-being. The victims’ ordeal serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of maritime travel and the importance of swift response in times of distress.
