OPERATIVES arrested in Davao City a ranking Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army official in Southern Mindanao.
Police Regional Office 11 director Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr. identified the suspect as Shirley Cortez Daguman, 49.
Daguman was described as a secretary of the Front Committee 51 of the CPP-NPA’s Southern Mindanao Regional Committee.
Members of the Davao City Police Station 12 arrested the suspect around 3 p.m. Saturday on the strength of a warrant of arrest for attempted murder issued by Judge Retrina Fuentes of the Davao City Regional Trial Court.
Silo said a P120,000 bail was recommended by the court for the temporary liberty of the accused.
Daguman is now being held in a local police station.
