AGENTS of the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group arrested in an operation in Bohol a man accused of posting the nude photos of his live-in partner on social media.
PNP-ACG director Brig. Gen. Robert Rodriguez said that the suspect, who was described only as 27-year-old resident of Bien Unido, Bohol, was arrested on the strength of a warrant for violation of Article 282 of the Revised Penal Code or grave threats in relation to Republic Act 10175 of the Anti-Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 and RA 995 or the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009.
The criminal charges were filed against the accused by his own live-in partner after he posted the victim’s nude photos online.
Philippine National Police chief Gen. Dionardo Carlos commended the PNP-ACT for its latest accomplishment against cybercrime offenders.
“It is through the vigilance of the community and our advance tracking system that our police personnel were able to easily track the wanted suspect,” the country’s top cop said.
