JUSTICE Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla yesterday said he will ask the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into the alleged abduction of two progressive workers in Cebu City.
“Basta merong ganyang notice. We will inform them, but I need details to inform them. Siguro, if you send me the details, I can ask the NBI Cebu to look at the matter,” Remulla said.
Last Monday, a human rights groups announced in a press conference that missing development workers Dyan Gumanao and Armand Dayoha have already been found.
Dyan’s father, Danilo Gumanao, thanked the University of the Philippines-Cebu, friends, and relatives for helping them find the two progressive workers.
Earlier, human rights group Karapatan disclosed that Gumanao, 28, and Dayoha, 27, have stopped communicating with their relatives, prompting them to coordinate with various government agencies.
Reports said the victims were snatched by men who allegedly identified themselves as lawmen.
The two workers were both expected to return to Cebu last January 10 after spending the holiday season with their families.
