CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City, Laguna – Police on Friday arrested a young drug suspect and seized some P3.6 million worth of shabu in a sting in Bgy. Sta. Catalina, Pagbilao, Quezon.
A report submitted to Police Regional Office 4A Director Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces by Quezon police director Col. Ledon Monte, the arrested suspect was identified as Samuel Marino, 23, of Pagbilao town.
Monte said Marino was caught with shabu during the drug buy-bust conducted by joint members of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) under Capt. Jojo Pangilinan, the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and the Pagbilao Police Station.
Marino was arrested while handing over two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing shabu to a police poseur.
Seized were a total of 180 grams of shabu with a street value of P3, 672, 000 and the 20 pieces marked P1,000 bills.
The confiscated illegal drugs and various drug paraphernalia were brought to the PNP Provincial Crime Laboratory Office in Lucena City for examination.
Authorities said the drug supply came from Metro Manila and picked up by Marino.
