A POLICEMAN on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in the head inside a firing range in Pampanga.
PMSG Cricencio Tabin, 42, assigned at the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG), and a resident of San Fernando Ville, City of San Fernando, Pampanga., died on the spot.
Tabin arrived at the firing range and rented from firing range officer Edwin Mendiola, 42, of Purok 4, Bgy. Pulung Maragul, Angeles City, a handgun loaded with two live rounds of ammunition.
Mendiola was assisting Tabin at the fire range’s Bay 5 when the police officer suddenly pointed the gun to the right side of his head and pulled the trigger.
Police are conducting a paraffin test on the victim to confirm if he really committed suicide or there was foul play in his death.
