UNIFORMED and non-uniformed personnel of the Police Regional Office 3 will now enjoy free breakfast and merienda following the opening of a food kiosk in Camp Olivas in San Fernando City, Pampanga.
The food kiosk dubbed “The Boy’s Corner” was through the initiative of Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr..
“The Boy’s Corner,” which was coined from Hidalgo’s nickname, aims to promote a positive and healthy work environment among the employees in the camp.
PRO3’s first ever camp food kiosk provides free breakfast from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and merienda from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
It will cater to 200 persons during breakfast and 100 persons during merienda on a “first come, first serve basis.”
“The focus of my administration is the well-being and health of PRO3 uniformed and non-uniformed personnel by keeping them nourished and well fed. People who eat a well-balanced breakfast are more able to make decisions and function effectively at work, which is much needed in the kind of job we have,” Hidalgo said.
Regional pastoral officer Rev. Fr. Lt. Col. Jonathan Chy officiated the blessing of the food kiosk, which was graced by Department of the Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Oscar Valenzuela.
