The young public leader distributed backpacks and school supplies to the children, and donated books to the local child learning institution as part of her “Handog Karunungan” book donation campaign.

The passionate congresswoman also shared a meal with the students and the daycare center’s educators after the distribution of the school supplies.

Rep. Villar’s “Handog Karunungan” drive seeks to spark the young student’s imaginations and encourage them to enjoy reading, a pastime that she herself is very passionate about. Apart from highlighting the value of books, the undertaking is likewise aimed at providing local child development centers and daycare centers with tools to promote literacy, and encourage community involvement, and foster a sense of togetherness and shared responsibility.
