THE Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) is ramping up security measures for the start of the school year through Oplan Balik-Eskwela (OBE). Acting Provincial Director, PCOL Jacinto R Malinao Jr., led the Batangas PPO in a flag-raising ceremony at Alangilan Central Elementary School on July 29, 2024, to emphasize the police force’s commitment to student safety.
To ensure a secure learning environment, the Batangas PPO will deploy police personnel to schools and establish Police Assistance Desks in coordination with local government units, barangay officials, and community volunteers. Traffic management will also be a priority, with the police collaborating with the Land Transportation Office (LTO) and other agencies to ease congestion and ensure students arrive safely at their destinations.
To deter reckless driving and protect students from accidents, the Batangas PPO will strictly enforce traffic laws, including penalties for overloading, unlicensed driving, and underage driving.
PCOL Malinao expressed the Batangas PPO’s dedication to safeguarding students throughout the school year, emphasizing their commitment to a safe and conducive learning environment for all.
