AS global fuel prices continue to rise amid tensions in the Middle East, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte is calling on QCitizens to take advantage of the city government’s digital services and sustainable mobility programs to help ease transportation expenses.
Belmonte encouraged residents to maximize the Quezon City government’s QC E-Services portal, which allows QCitizens to access government services conveniently online—saving both time and transportation costs.
“We understand that rising fuel and transportation costs can put additional pressure on many families,” Belmonte said. “That is why we encourage our QCitizens to maximize our online services so they can transact with the city government quickly and conveniently, without the need to travel.”
Accessible through qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph, QC E-Services now provides over 160 individual services across 34 programs, making it one of the most comprehensive local government digital platforms in the country.
Through the portal, residents can apply for business permits, occupational permits, building permits, scholarships, burial and medical assistance, and even pay their real property taxes—all through a single, streamlined online platform.
For those who still prefer or require in-person assistance, QCitizens may visit their nearest District Action Office, where frontline personnel are ready to assist with various service requests—helping residents avoid long trips to City Hall.
Meanwhile, to cushion the impact of potential fare increases, the city government continues to operate the QCity Bus Libreng Sakay program, which currently serves commuters across eight routes throughout Quezon City, providing free and reliable public transportation.
Residents may also take advantage of the city’s growing network of protected and shared bike lanes, offering a safe, healthy, and cost-efficient option for daily travel.
“We will continue to find innovative ways to ease the burden on our residents, especially during times when global events affect everyday expenses,” Belmonte said.
“Through our digital services, district action offices, free bus rides, and bike-friendly infrastructure, we want to ensure that QCitizens have practical, accessible options that help them save on transportation while staying connected to essential city services.”
