DEPARTMENT of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. shared on Sunday that the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is bringing public services closer to the Filipino people.
“Sa aming ahensya, sa ngayon ay binababa namin sa tao ang serbisyo. ‘Yun po ang bilin ng ating Pangulo. Kamukha ng nakikita niyo ngayon lahat ng serbisyo ay nandiyan. ‘Yan ang gagawa pa sa buong Pilipinas,” Secretary Abalos said.
Abalos attended the kick-off rally of the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign of the Marcos administration on Sunday at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila along with other Cabinet officials.
Abalos said the DILG is also working closely with the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) for the digitalization of their services.
Before concluding his statement, Secretary Abalos expressed gratitude to the public in showing their warm support to President Marcos and the kick-off rally of the Bagong Pilipinas.
In another development, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Romeo Lumagui Jr. said Bagong Pilipinas for them is providing accessible public services and easy transaction in the bureau.
“Ang handog sa gobyerno ng BIR sa Bagong Pilipinas ay isang makabagong BIR at ito ay mas pinadaling serbisyo dahil alam naman natin na marami kayong transakyon sa BIR at nais natin talagang mas pagbutihin at mas mapadali ang mga transakyon ninyo,” Lumagui said.
“Naiintindihan natin na talaga namang napakaimportante ng BIR para naman makakolekta tayo ng pondo para sa ikauunlad ng ating bayan. So again … pinaigting natin ang digital transformation ng BIR, automation ng processes para naman mas transparent ang magiging proseso sa aming ahensya,” he added.
Around 400,000 people gathered at the Quirino Grandstand to witness the kick-off rally of the Bagong Pilipinas campaign of the Marcos administration.
