LAGUNA Governor Sol Aragones, through her ongoing Akay ni Gob program, once again brought much-needed support to thousands of Lagunenses via the Libreng Ulam initiative. This latest effort was made possible through the generous contributions of two well-known food companies—Pampanga’s Best and Joshua’s Meat Products.
Each brand donated 1,000 kilos of frozen goods, with a combined total of 2,000 kilos distributed across Cabuyao, Los Baños, and Bay, Laguna. Pampanga’s Best supported the distribution in Cabuyao, while Joshua’s Meat Products directed their entire donation to families in Bay and Los Baños.
“Basta may nag-donate, binibigay agad natin sa ating kababayan,” emphasized Governor Sol, underscoring her signature fast, heartfelt, and community-first style of leadership.
The distribution was made possible through the support of local government officials including mayors, councilors, board members, the Sol Ladies, and provincial employees who worked hand-in-hand to ensure that as many families as possible benefited from the aid.

The impact was deeply felt by the beneficiaries. Emma Bartequin, a single mother and street sweeper in Cabuyao, shared “Malaking tulong po ito sa amin, lalo na po ako ay single mom. Maraming salamat po may pang-ulam na po kami.”
Albert Morela, a father from Cabuyao, also expressed his gratitude, “Maraming salamat kay Gov Sol. Malaking bagay ito para sa amin lalo na’t hirap ho kami sa pagkain minsan.” he said.
Once again, through Akay ni Gob Libreng Ulam, public service was felt not just in words but in meals that brought relief, comfort, and community care one frozen pack at a time. With the continued support of private partners and compassionate leaders, Akay ni Gob proves that meaningful change happens when people work together with empathy and purpose.
As long as there are helping hands and generous hearts, Governor Sol Aragones assures that Laguna will always rise with dignity, unity, and hope.
