The resolution stated that the House “fully supports and adheres” to President Marcos’ call to “bring the country toward a ‘Bagong Pilipinas’ and rekindle the hopes of the Filipino people for genuine development and better tomorrow.”
It said the program is a “strong testament” to the President’s “commitment to undertake reform to restore public trust and embark on a transformative journey where government services and financial assistance programs are accessible to every Filipino regardless of creed or religion.”
It “is the overarching theme of President Marcos administration’s brand of governance and leadership, characterized by a principled, accountable, and dependable government reinforced by unified institutions of society,” the House said.
The program is also “a call to unity, a rallying cry for every Filipino to come together, transcending differences and working hand in hand for a brighter and more prosperous life ahead,” it stressed.
The chamber noted that during the Bagong Pilipinas kick-off rally on Sunday, the President acknowledged that the complex and changing world calls for a united response that would make the nation strong, the economy sound, and the children’s future secure.
Marcos also emphasized the importance of crafting a blueprint for progress, a plan that inspires hope and promises change, and provide them the benefits of innovation and empowerment, the resolution stated.
It cited the 2023-2028 Philippine Development Plan, which enumerates the sectors to which funds should be channeled, and what policies must be implemented so that these can contribute to the overall growth.
The House said the President also underscored the significance of individual resolutions in contributing to the broader goals of the “Bagong Pilipinas” campaign and reminded government officials that they “are servants of the people.”
It said the presence of government leaders in the kick-off “reflects a shared commitment to the cause of nation-building, emphasizing that this is a collective effort that involves every sector of our society, and each personal commitment to positive change is a vital building block for the collective progress of the nation.”
The House will shortly send a copy of the resolution to the President.
