Wilma P. Porras, mother of PVT James Porras who was killed in the Feb. 18 clash with the terrorist group Dawlah Islamiyah-Maute in Lanao del Norte, receives a total of P430,000 worth of financial, educational and livelihood assistance from Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez, represented by Agusan del Sur 1st District Rep. Alfelito Bascug during a recent turnover. With Mrs. Porras is Michelle Sasarita, common law spouse of Porras who is 7-months pregnant. The handover of the aid package was in compliance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to provide assistance to the families of soldiers killed and wounded during the encounter.
