Laguna, Philippines – May 14, 2025 —BENJIE Agarao has been declared the official winner of the congressional race in Laguna’s 4th District following the 2025 National and Local Elections, securing the mandate of his constituents in a decisive victory.
In a statement released shortly after his proclamation, Agarao expressed deep gratitude to the people of Laguna, his campaign team, and his family. He credited divine guidance as the cornerstone of his campaign’s success.
“Una sa lahat, ang aking taos-pusong pasasalamat sa ating Dakilang Diyos sa Kanyang patnubay at gabay na naging susi sa ating tagumpay,” Agarao said. “To my beloved constituents in the 4th District of Laguna, thank you for your trust, belief, and unwavering support. It is a great honor to once again be chosen to serve as your Congressman.”
He also paid tribute to his campaign team and supporters, acknowledging their tireless efforts throughout the election season. “To all our leaders, coordinators, volunteers, and supporters—on behalf of the entire Agarao family, we sincerely thank you for your sacrifice, dedication, and love. You are my strength and inspiration,” he said.
Agarao underscored his belief that public service must transcend politics, emphasizing the importance of addressing real issues over personal rivalries. “In every election, we face challenges and battles. But let us remember: we are not battling personalities. Our true fight is against the problems we must solve as public servants.”
Quoting the Latin phrase “Vox populi, vox Dei” (the voice of the people is the voice of God), Agarao highlighted that his victory was not just a political triumph, but a reflection of the people’s will and divine purpose.
With a strong call for unity, Agarao urged his fellow Lagunenses to set aside political divisions in pursuit of shared progress. “Let us unite for a single purpose—a brighter and more progressive future for our district, our people, and especially for the youth,” he said.
He also thanked local officials including Mayor Benjo Agarao and Board Member Jam Agarao for their support, pledging to work collaboratively for the benefit of the district.
“Together, we will work. Together, we will serve. From our family to yours—thank you, thank you very much,” Agarao concluded.
Agarao’s win marks a return to Congress, where he has previously served multiple terms. His platform centers on grassroots development, youth empowerment, and inclusive governance.
