CALAMBA CITY, Laguna —GOVERNOR Sol Aragones on Wednesday spearheaded a food relief operation for families affected by recent flooding in several barangays of Calamba City, under her flagship initiative “Akay ni Gob Libreng Tanghalian.”
The relief efforts reached six of the city’s most affected communities: Barangay 1, Barangay 4, Barandal, Bañadero, Parian, and Punta—areas that suffered heavy rainfall and localized flooding over the past days.
Aragones, joined by local officials and volunteers, led the on-ground distribution of warm meals and food packs, ensuring immediate support reached residents in both evacuation sites and flood-stricken homes.
“This is not just about providing food. It’s about showing up for our people when they need us most,” Aragones said, reaffirming her administration’s commitment to compassionate and timely disaster response.
The initiative, part of her broader campaign for a “GOByernong may SOLusyon,” has become a hallmark of her governance—offering practical assistance and emotional comfort to constituents during times of crisis.
“Akay ni Gob Libreng Tanghalian” remains an ongoing relief effort across Laguna, continuously serving thousands of hot meals to communities affected by natural calamities.
