BUSINESS tycoon Manny Pangilinan on Tuesday pledged immediate support for Laguna’s healthcare and tourism sectors, announcing his commitment to assist the Provincial Government of Laguna during a Facebook Live broadcast on December 17, 2025.
During the live announcement, Governor Sol Aragones raised the urgent need for additional ambulances and medical equipment for Laguna’s district hospitals, stressing that these are critically needed to improve emergency response and hospital services across the province.
“Laguna will be on top of our list,” Manny Pangilinan said during the broadcast. He added, “Yung medical tourism natin pwede sana sa Los Baños ano, sa Makiling.”
Governor Aragones also highlighted the importance of strengthening Laguna’s tourism industry, citing its resorts and tourist activities as key drivers of the local economy. He emphasized that continued support is essential to sustain and expand tourism programs that benefit communities throughout the province.
“Napakaganda ng simbahan ng lalawigan ng Laguna, ang 24 municipalities at six cities ay may kanya-kanyang kwento,” Governor Aragones said, underscoring the province’s rich cultural and religious heritage.
Pangilinan expressed full support for the initiatives raised during the FB Live announcement, particularly those that combine improved healthcare services with tourism development. The commitment is expected to boost emergency medical capacity in district hospitals while helping position Laguna as a destination for medical tourism, wellness, and heritage travel.
