THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and KasKasan Buddies (KKB) have collaborated to expand access to financial education by bringing BSP educational content to one of the country’s largest online financial literacy communities. The educational collaboration was formally launched on 04 August 2026 at the BSP Head Office in Manila.
“The goal is to help Filipinos understand how financial products work, know the features of financial products that fit their needs, and learn how to manage risks through platforms where they are having conversations,” said BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.
“We are excited to begin this collaboration and work together toward a future where every Filipino is empowered to make informed, confident, and responsible financial decisions.”
KKB is a Philippine-based online community that promotes financial literacy by providing a platform for discussing responsible credit card use, scam prevention, and other everyday financial concerns.
Through the collaboration, BSP, through its financial education platform PisoLit, and KKB will jointly develop and feature educational content, helping more Filipinos access practical and reliable financial education.
PisoLit covers practical topics including budgeting, saving, responsible credit use, scam awareness, cybersecurity, and consumer protection.
KKB Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Joel Khristopher Cabugos said, “We firmly believe that the best way to empower people is through the community itself. When knowledge is shared, experiences are exchanged, and people help one another make better financial decisions, everyone benefits, from individuals and families to MSMEs and society as a whole.”
KKB Corporate Secretary and Co-Founder Jacques Yves “Jax” Reyes said, “We are collaborating with the BSP through PisoLit to reach more Filipinos and to inspire more of you. Sometimes, we just need a little push—and that is exactly what this partnership is about. It’s about giving people that push in a way that is real, accessible, and truly reaches them.”
Also present during the collaboration launch were BSP Managing Director Charina De Vera-Yap and Director Marianne M. Santos, as well as KKB Chief Marketing Officer Joram Joseph Bonus, Business Development Executive Carl Munsayac, Media Lead Jayvee Mambalo, PR and Communications Lead Maki Santos, and content creators Raphael Marabut and Danica Lane Agustin.
The collaboration supports the BSP’s continuing efforts to work with the private sector and government institutions to expand financial education and help more Filipinos make informed, responsible, and confident financial decisions.
