San Pedro City, Laguna — LAGUNA 1st District Representative and House Committee on Women and Gender Equality Chairperson Ann Matibag proudly spearheads the Hakab ’Ta 2025 breastfeeding celebration on Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Pacita Astrodome in San Pedro City.
The event, held in partnership with the Philippine Pediatric Society, forms part of a nationwide simultaneous breastfeeding activity that began at 10:00 AM.
Its goal is to raise public awareness, celebrate the special bond between mother and child, and highlight the nurturing beauty of breastfeeding.

“Breastfeeding is not just about providing milk — it’s about giving care, love, and hope,” said Congresswoman Matibag, herself a former breastfeeding mom. “It is a journey of love, strength, and connection, and the very first step toward a child’s lifelong health and cognitive development. It also plays a vital role in public health and economic resilience.”
The Hakab ’Ta 2025 celebration also aims to build a more supportive environment where breastfeeding is recognized and honored not only at home, but also in workplaces and communities nationwide.
By fostering public awareness and encouraging community support, the initiative seeks to strengthen a culture that values breastfeeding as a cornerstone of maternal and child health.
Congresswoman Matibag emphasized her commitment to advancing programs that empower mothers and improve family well-being. She warmly invites breastfeeding mothers, their families, and health advocates to join in honoring the dedication of breastfeeding parents and the networks that support them.
“Through this partnership with the Philippine Pediatric Society, we are taking a meaningful step to ensure Filipino mothers receive the encouragement and resources they need to give their children the very best start in life,” she added.
