THE construction for the Agno Super health center is now underway as the Department of Health (DOH) – Ilocos Region together with the local government of Agno, Pangasinan completed the groundbreaking ceremony on November 8, 2023.
The health facility will be located along the provincial highway in Barangay Bangan-Oda which is 5-kilometers away from the town proper.
According to Regional Local Health Support Division Chief Jimuel S. Cardenas, the facility will be a one-stop-shop for all outpatient medical services.
“The facility will have a project cost of ₱10 million pesos funded under the HFEP – GAA 2023 but due to the commitment to healthcare, AGNO LGU has pledged to provide a financial supplement of ₱2 million pesos to complement the amount given by the national government for the facility,” he added.
The super health center will have services from an outpatient clinic and consultation, pharmacy and dispensary, primary clinical laboratory, clinical microscopy, microbiology/parasitology, radiology, birthing ang lying-in, TB consultation with direct sputum smear processing and microscopy capability.
Agno Mayor Gualberto R. Sison thanked the DOH for selecting Agno as one of the beneficiaries of its super health center project.
“Once this super health center is completed, we will ensure that it will provide the necessary health and medical services to improve the health of our constituents,” Sison assured
