A TRAINING session on the Science and Technology Academic and Research-Based Openly Operated Kiosk Stations (STARBOOKS) was conducted to help educators and librarians of Sacred Heart of Cavite, Inc. – Recoletos De Alfonso use this digital learning tool effectively.
The event was attended by the Provincial Director of DOST-Cavite, Ms. Gilda S. De Jesus, who served as the guest speaker.
Mr. Laurence Angelo F. Bago led the demonstration and workshop, while Mr. Mark Anthony B. Acidella conducted the orientation. The session aimed to teach participants how to navigate STARBOOKS, which offers a vast collection of science and technology resources in text, video, and audio formats.
Cerebro Solutions Inc., led by CEO Mr. Jonas Justine U. Itugot, donated the STARBOOKS unit. This generous contribution supports education by providing students and teachers access to valuable learning materials.
After the lecture, participants engaged in a hands-on session where they applied their newly acquired knowledge by operating the STARBOOKS system. Mr. Bago encouraged them to integrate STARBOOKS into their educational activities, maximizing its potential as a tool for research and learning.
