A MAN trying to pacify a quarrel on Sunday night was shot dead in Batangas City.
The victim was identified as Cesar Bansil while the suspect was Eddie Saman Alamani, both residents of the city.
An investigation showed Bansil was urging the suspect to calm down following a road mishap involving his brother.
Instead of cooling down, Alamani pulled out a gun and shot Bansil in the chest.
The shooting occurred at Sitio Badjaowan Bgy. Malitam, Batangas City at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday.
The suspect fled on foot, along with the gun he used in shooting Bansil.
Witnesses rushed the victim to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
