CLARK, PAMPANGA — FILIPINO street food is getting a more polished treatment as Mekeni Food Corporation introduces Street Flavors, a food cart concept that brings familiar local favorites to events, celebrations and everyday consumers.
The concept took center stage at the One Pampanga Food and Beverage Expo 2026 held September 19–20 at the SMX Convention Center Clark, where Mekeni showcased how its well-known food products can be transformed into a convenient and more elevated street food experience.
Designed as a ready-to-operate food cart business, Street Flavors combines convenience and accessibility with Mekeni’s food products, offering a format suited for corporate gatherings, school activities, birthdays, community events and other occasions.
“We want to bring the street food experience to events in a way that feels more exciting, convenient, and premium, while still keeping the flavors that Filipinos know and love,” said Mekeni Food Corporation President Pruds Garcia.
Beyond the food service concept, Mekeni is also positioning Street Flavors as a potential livelihood opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to enter the food business through a ready-to-operate cart model.
“Street food is deeply part of Filipino culture. Through Street Flavors, we want to give entrepreneurs an opportunity to bring that experience to more people while building a business of their own,” Garcia said.
The concept is likewise designed to reach everyday consumers through accessible food carts, allowing Mekeni products to move beyond traditional retail channels.
Mekeni’s participation in the Pampanga expo highlights the company’s efforts to explore new ways of bringing its products to consumers while expanding into food service and entrepreneurship opportunities.
With Street Flavors, Mekeni is putting a fresh spin on a distinctly Filipino tradition—bringing street food closer to consumers in a format that is convenient, accessible and more premium.
