MANILA, Philippines — Homegrown food manufacturer Mekeni Food Corporation highlighted its growing portfolio of Filipino-made products and strengthened ties with consumers and industry partners during the World Food Expo (WOFEX) 2026 held at the World Trade Center Manila from July 29 to August 1.
The four-day exhibition brought together food manufacturers, distributors, retailers, foodservice professionals and other industry stakeholders, providing businesses an opportunity to showcase products and establish new market connections.
Mekeni featured several products at the event, including its expanding sausage line such as the Mekeni Specials 4Cheese Sausage, Hungarian Sausage with Cheese and Breakfast Sausage.
The company also used the event to engage with consumers, retailers, distributors and potential business partners, underscoring its efforts to expand its presence in the domestic and international markets.
“WOFEX gives us a valuable opportunity to connect with our consumers and partners while showcasing the quality, innovation, and Filipino pride that continue to define Mekeni,” Mekeni President Pruds Garcia said.
Garcia said the company’s participation in major industry events forms part of its continuing efforts to strengthen partnerships and make its products accessible to more consumers and businesses.
Mekeni’s WOFEX participation also comes as the company marks its 40th anniversary this year under the theme “May Kwento sa Bawat Timpla,” which celebrates four decades of flavors, stories and shared experiences with Filipino families.
The company said it plans to continue expanding its reach while bringing its products to more homes, businesses and communities in the Philippines and overseas.
