Department of Health regional and assistant regional directors from Region 1,2 and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) together with their respective Universal Health Care (UHC) Coordinators attended the first executive session on “Leadership Development Program to Accelerate UHC Implementation” in San Juan, La Union on March 24, 2022, to support provincial executives in establishing an effective and responsive province-wide health systems for UHC.

The one-day workshop enabled the participants to reflect on their role and leadership response in improving provincial health outcomes and create concrete plan of action to improve health inequities and propose strategies that will identify and address challenges in the implementation of UHC.
