
AUTHORITIES intercepted an estimated ₱25.3 million worth of suspected shabu in a coordinated anti-drug operation at the FedEx Cargo Warehouse in Clark Freeport Zone, Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
The joint operation, carried out last Friday, by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Bureau of Customs (BOC), Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), led to the seizure of a suspicious parcel declared as a “Data Cable Roll.”
According to the NBI, the parcel was subjected to manual inspection after irregularities were detected during standard x-ray screening by BOC examiners.
Upon opening, authorities discovered six plastic bags containing over five kilograms of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu), with an estimated street value of ₱25,310,000.
The NBI has not disclosed the country of origin or the intended consignee of the shipment, citing the sensitivity of the ongoing investigation.
The seized illegal drugs have been turned over to PDEA for proper documentation and disposal, in accordance with existing protocol
