The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is investigating a shooting incident inside a Condominium building in Pasay City on Sunday.
The victims were identified as Liu Da Jun, 32, and Chen San Wu, 22, a Real estate broker. Both are residents of the said condominium.
Initial investigation disclosed that the victims were at the lobby when the suspect, an unidentified Chinese National, and his companion arrived.
The suspect demanded half a million pesos from Chen San Wu, but the latter refused to give. Thus, a struggle ensued between them. The other victim intervened and pacified, but while pacifying, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired upon the victim hitting the back portion of his body.
The suspects fled the scene after shooting the victim.
The wounded victim was immediately rushed to the hospital and is now in a stable condition.
Recovered from the crime scene were four fcc of cal .45 firearm, one deformed slug and live ammunition of cal .45.
Accordingly, a friend of his was indebted to the suspect but the latter bent his anger on him.
“I instructed our investigators to expedite the probe and find the perpetrators. We will also coordinate with the Immigration Bureau for possible identification,” PNP Chief General Dionardo Carlos said.
The PNP noted that in recent weeks, foreigners have been linked to incidents such as this.
“With the easing of travel restrictions for foreign travelers in the country, we have redirected our attention to ensure their safety as well. We expect that more international tourists will go around places, so we have reactivated the monitoring of our tourist police,” Carlos added.
