Camp BGen Vicente P Lim – THE PRO CALABARZON formally opens the Joint Search and Rescue Team Challenge 2024 at PRO 4A Covered Court, Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, Calamba City, Laguna.
Said activity aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities across the region. This innovative competition, scheduled for June 24-26, 2024, invites 66 participants from different provinces, including personnel from the Regional Mobile Force Battalion, to showcase their skills in a series of simulated rescue scenarios.
The PRO 4A Joint Search and Rescue Challenge is designed to promote collaboration among emergency responders, law enforcement agencies, and the public. Teams will be tasked with navigating through realistic disaster scenarios, including Physical Fitness Challenge, Knot-Tying and Practical Apllication, First Aid and Situation Handling, Rubber Boat Operation and Water Rescue Exercises. Each team’s ability to coordinate effectively, make quick decisions under pressure, and utilize state-of-the-art rescue equipment will be put to the test.
During the program, PRO 4A Regional Director warmly welcome everyone to the opening ceremony through his welcome remarks. Afterwhich, Atty. Owen G De Luna, Regional Director, NAPOLCOM 4A graced the ceremony by delivering his message to all particpants.

In his message, Atty. De Luna expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the members of PRO 4A and other participants from the LGUs. He also emphasized the importance of preparedness and capability enhancement of all emergency responders especially during calamities.

We are fortunate that our law enforcers, together with our emergency responders, conducted this Search and Rescue Challenge as a platform to showcase and enhance our personnel’s capabilities in responding to emergencies. This competition not only fosters teamwork and innovation but also reinforces the importance of preparedness in safeguarding our communities.” Atty. De Luna said
