IN celebration of the 36th Civil Registration Month, the Philippine Statistics Authority RSSO IV-A actively participated in the Civil Registration Services (CRS) Mobile Outlet activity and conducted the distribution of information primers covering key civil registration laws and programs. The outreach activity aligns with this year’s theme, “Navigating the Future Together: Advancing CRVS in Shaping the Global and Regional Data Ecosystem.”
The initiative brought essential civil registration services directly to residents of Mabini, Batangas, reinforcing PSA’s commitment to improving accessibility, inclusivity, and public awareness on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS).
Through the CRS Mobile Outlet, clients were able to request certified copies of birth, marriage, and death certificates while also receiving guidance on important legal processes affecting civil status records. Information primers were distributed on the following: National ID (PhilSys), Legitimation by Subsequent Marriage, Adoption, Annulment of Marriage, Petitions under Republic Act No. 9048 (Clerical or Typographical Error Correction and Change of First Name), Petitions under Republic Act No. 9255 (Use of the Father’s Surname), and Gender and Development (GAD) advocacy.
The celebration of the 36th Civil Registration Month underscores PSA’s vital role in enhancing the country’s CRVS system, contributing to reliable data that support national planning and development, as well as regional and global statistical commitments.
