THE Department of Tourism Regional Office 10 officially launched the third MisOr Dive Festival and unveiled the Dive NorthMin Photo Exhibit to the public, featuring stunning underwater visuals from renowned professional divers and enthusiasts on September 6, 2023, at the SM Downtown Ground Floor Activity Center, Cagayan de Oro City.ย
The opening ceremony was a huge success, graced by key figures from various government agencies, local government units, dive professionals and enthusiasts, tourism officers, private sectors, and media members.ย
By popularizing diving as a thrilling and rewarding tourism activity and spotlighting the region’s captivating diving spots, the festival stands as a beacon of hope for sustainable tourism practices and the responsible preservation of marine ecosystems. As the festival continues to evolve, it paves the way for fostering a deeper appreciation for the delicate underwater environment and the invaluable role it plays in our ecosystem.
DOT-10, under the leadership of RD Marie Elaine Unchuan, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, partners, sponsors, and influencers who continue to promote, share, and protect the wonders of the Misamis Oriental waters.ย
The third NorthMin Dive Festival will consist of some of the following activities for the week: MisOr Underwater Shootout, Discover Freediving, and Coastal Cleanup and Scubasurero, with DOT Secretary Christina Garcia-Frasco gracing the celebration on September 8, 2023.
