
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City, Laguna – Calabarzon Police Director Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces has implemented a reshuffle affecting 12 police chiefs in the region.
Among those affected by the “shake-up” were 12 police chiefs in Quezon, seven in Batangas, and three in Laguna.
In Batangas province, Lipa City police chief Lt. Col. Ariel Azurin was replaced by Lt. Col. Rix Villareal.
Azurin assumed the post as commander of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Batangas City police chief Lt. Col. Dwight Fonte Jr. was replaced by Lt. Col. Diana Del Rosario.
Maj. Janver Cabata took the post as chief of police of Ibaan, Maj. Ronnie Aurellano as Rosario police chief while Maj. Danilo Manalo Jr. is now the police head of San Luis town.
Appointed police chief of Taal was Maj. Fernando Fernando while Maj. Richard De Guzman assumed the post of police chief of Tingloy municipality.
In Laguna, Capt. John Patrick Delos Santos was named chief of police of Liliw town replacing Maj. Ajalino Balaoro.
Maj. Melencio Arcita Jr. of Magdalena municipality and Maj. Jordan Aguilar of Victoria were replaced by Capt Errol Frejas and Capt. Myra Desiree Pasta respectively.
In Quezon province, Mulanay police chief Maj. Joseph Ian Java was replaced by Maj Marlon Comia while Capt. Harold Panganiban took the post of Maj. Marlon Comia of Macalelon.
According to Gaces, the reshuffle was to avoid overstaying of the officials in their current positions.
He added that the revamp is needed for career enhancement and to give way to the new breed of officers.
