TWELVE policewomen in Central Luzon were awarded for their exemplary performance as the Women’s Month celebration started on Monday.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. and Executive Judge Evelyn Pascua-Lee led the awarding of medals to the twelve outstanding policewomen.
Among the awardees were Regional Community Affairs and Development Division chief Col. Marites Salvadora, Lt. Col. Karen Clark, Maj. Jailyn Rosario, Maj. Michelle Paulino, Capt. Noralyn Awwadui, PEMS Marivic Mendoza, PCMS Geraldine Maniego, SSg Rosemarie Sambrano, SS Jamelah Velasco, SSg May Corpu, and non-uniformed personnel Geraldine Bautista, and Abigail Pineda.
Salvadora and Awadi received the Medalya ng Kasanayan (PNP Efficiency Medal) for having the highest Unit Performance Evaluation Rating (UPER) thrice nationwide.
Sambrano, Velasco and Bautista also received the PNP Efficiency Medal.
Meanwhile, Rosario, Maniego, Corpuz and Pineda were awarded the Medalya ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal).
Clark , Paulino and Mendoza were given plaques for being adjudged as Outstanding Policewomen of PRO3.
Executive Judge Pascua-Lee highlighted the laws and jurisprudence related to women’s rights and women empowerment.
Hidalgo Jr. said the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration serves as a tribute that highlights the extraordinary roles of ordinary women in society as trailblazers of change.
