PALAUIG, Zambales — POLICE are investigating the discovery of two unidentified women found dead in a roadside canal along the National Highway in Purok 5, Barangay Salaza, Palauig, on Thursday morning, August 14.
The Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) said the victims, estimated to be 20 to 25 years old, sustained gunshot wounds, and other severe injuries.
Investigators believe they were killed elsewhere and later dumped in the canal.
A passing motorist reported the discovery to authorities. Police immediately responded, secured the area, and began gathering evidence.
ZPPO said the motive for the killing has yet to be determined.
Authorities are calling on the public to provide any information that could help identify the victims and those responsible for their deaths.
