The Department of Health (DOH) – Dagupan Treatment and Rehabilitation Center (DTRC) on July 8, 2023, discharged a total of 51 clients after successfully completing 18 months of rehabilitation and treatment at the center.
DTRC Medical Chief, Rosalina N. Caoile said that the center ensures that every graduate or client who departs the facility is drug-free and carries with them a positive outlook in life.
“After graduation, we encouraged them to continue practicing healthy lifestyle, seek employment or continue their studies in school. Kailangan nilang magkaroon ng complete realization kung ano ang kanilang mithiin sa kanilang mga buhay upang magkaroon sila ng magandang buhay after rehabilitation sa tulong ng kanilang mga pamilya at mahal sa buhay.”
Caoile added that the center provides continuous assistance together with the city government of Dagupan to sustain the recovery of the graduates after going back to their communities.

DOH – Ilocos Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco, encouraged every graduate to stay sober and ensure a drug free lifestyle. “Huwag na huwag na kayong babalik sa naranasan nyong buhay na walang kinabukasan at walang patutunguhan kundi kulungan at kamatayan.”
“Congratulations to all the graduates. Completing the rehabilitation program is a major accomplishment worth celebrating. But staying sober is a lifelong process and we need personal strength and everyone’s support including family members, friends, and the community to fully recover.”
“Think about your future and that of your children and never look back on your previous life as a drug user,” Sydiongco emphasized in her message during the commencement exercise.
