THE Office of Civil Defense (OCD) yesterday said five people were reported injured due to a collapsed wall after magnitude 6.4 earthquake rocked Dalupiri Island in Calayan town, Cagayan on Tuesday night.
In its latest bulletin, the agency said it has yet to receive reports of fatalities from the tremor.
Of the five, three sustained minor injuries while the other two suffered brain trauma and head concussions.
“No families/persons are currently being catered to inside or outside evacuation centers. No major damage or infrastructures are reported as of this time,” the OCD said.
It also added that OCD Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) along with the Cagayan and Isabela Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils are still monitoring and assessing the situation while search and rescue teams are on standby. (PNA)
