SEVEN students on Tuesday were arrested by operatives of the Drug Enforcement Group in a buy-bust operation in Tanza, Cavite. Cavite Provincial Police Director Col. Arnold Abad said nabbed were Niñonel Lubuguin, 24; John Patrick Gonzales, 22; Jun Carlo Nablo, 22; Micko Timpoc, 21; Mico Sustal, 21; John Kevin Samonte, 20; and Ryan Sarmiento, 20, all of Bgy. Halayhay Tanza, Cavite.
Members of the Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 4A led by Lt. Randolph Piñon conducted the sting in Bgy Halayhay, Tanza at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, The target of the operation was Lubuquin, whose customers were his classmates and friends.
Authorities arrested the seven students after a police poseur was able to buy the illegal drugs from them. Confiscated during the operation were 117 grams of marijuana, used tube pipes with traces of drugs, assorted drug paraphernalia, a smartphone and the buy-bust money.
