REPRESENTATIVE Camille Villar recently celebrated fathers and the roles that they play not only in their families but in their communities as well, with the recent holding of the “Tatay Fun Run” in Las Piñas City.
The fun run was held last recently at the The Tent grounds in Las Piñas City. A group sing and dance competition was also held after the event.
“Fathers are the strength of each family. The sacrifices that they willingly do for the welfare of their families are remarkable. There is no better way to celebrate them than by recognizing the heroes that they are in our lives,” Villar said.
Winners of the fun run were Marco Bilog from Barangay Manuyo 1, who won first place and got a P7,000 cash prize; Carlito Pantelaga from Brgy. Pamplona 3, second place, P5,000; and Gerald Zaldua from Brgy. Talon 3, third place, P3,000.
On the other hand, Brgy. BF International CAA was named champion in the group sing and dance competition. Brgy. Ilaya was the first runner-up, and Brgy. Pilar was chosen second runner-up.
“Paulit-ulit po ang ating pagpupugay sa ating mga ama, tatay, daddy, papa. Salamat po sa lahat ng inyong sakripisyo,” Villar said in closing.
