REELECTED Leyte 1st District Representative and House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Friday expressed full support for the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub, a landmark government initiative designed to streamline and simplify public transactions for all Filipinos.
Rep. Romualdez hailed President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. for his unwavering vision of a Bagong Pilipinas that truly responds to the people’s everyday concerns.
The lawmaker noted that the eGovPH Serbisyo Hub complements the upgraded eGovPH Super App, a mobile application that consolidates various government services—eliminating the need for in-person visits to government offices.
“Matagal nang nahirapan ang ating mga kababayan sa katakot-takot na pila kapag sila ay kukuha ng birth certificate, driver’s license, permit, at iba pa. Ngayon, nakikita natin ang pagbabago sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Pangulong Marcos—mula sa mahabang pila hanggang sa isang pindot na lang sa smartphone. Ito ang gobyernong tunay na nakikinig sa taong bayan,” Rep. Romualdez said.
He emphasized that Filipinos from all walks of life deserve the best service when they transact with government agencies.
“This is how we bring our government closer to the people – not with long lines, hours of waiting, and red tape, but with real solutions that they see, feel, and benefit from,” he added.
On Friday, Marcos launched the Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center (MSJ-NGC) in San Juan City, calling it an enormous step towards making government transactions faster and easier for Filipinos.
It is a one-stop shop for frontline services of government agencies, including medical financial assistance, free legal consultation, job-matching opportunities, applications for clearances, permits, and legal records.
Since its soft launch on June 2, the eGovPH Serbiyo Hub has been rolling out services in coordination with key government agencies.
Rep. Romualdez assured the President of his support for the program and vowed to back measures in Congress to ensure adequate funding for both the physical service hubs and the digital Super App.
“The Bagong Pilipinas eGovPH Serbisyo Hub is a major breakthrough in delivering fast, dignified, and accessible government services to millions of Filipinos. As legislators, it is our duty to see to it that such innovations are adequately funded so that these are capable of providing reliable, consistent service,” Rep. Romualdez said.
“Public servants are duty-bound to think of solutions that will ease and not add to Filipinos’ daily burdens. Our people deserve convenience, comfort, dignity, and speed when dealing with the government that is mandated to serve them.”
