SEVERAL toll lanes along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will be temporarily closed from August 26 to 30 to allow system enhancements, the NLEX Corporation announced on Monday.
According to the advisory, the following lanes will be closed on scheduled dates and times:
August 26, 8 p.m. – August 27, 4 a.m.
San Simon Southbound Exit X03, Entry E03, and Northbound Entry E02 (all rightmost lanes); San Fernando Northbound Exit X02 and X03 (second and third lanes, one at a time).
August 27, 8 p.m. – August 28, 4 a.m.
San Fernando Northbound Exit X04 and X05, Southbound Exit X01 and X02 (third and fourth lanes, one at a time); San Fernando Southbound Entry E03 and E04 (two rightmost lanes, one at a time).
August 28, 8 p.m. – August 29, 4 a.m.
San Fernando Southbound Exit X03 and X05 (second and fifth lanes, one at a time); San Fernando Northbound Exit X06 and X07 (two rightmost lanes, one at a time); Mexico Toll Plaza X03 and E02 (rightmost lanes).
August 30, 8 p.m. – August 31, 4 a.m.
Angeles Toll Plaza X02, X04, and X07 (second lane and two rightmost lanes, one at a time).

Balagtas Toll Plaza Interchange Northbound Exit X02 (second lane).
August 28–31, 8 p.m. – 4 a.m.
Pulilan Northbound Exit X03 (rightmost lane); Balagtas Interchange Northbound Exit X03 (third lane); Tabang Toll Plaza Northbound Exit X04 (third lane); Tabang Toll Plaza Northbound Entry E04 (leftmost lane).
The closures are part of NLEX Corporation’s upgrade program announced in February, which includes the installation of higher-frequency RFID antennas, additional speed cameras, replacement of toll lane computers, and deployment of new Plaza Computer Systems and Video Enhancement Systems.
