THE Department of Health (DOH) – Ilocos Region proudly brought home the Silver Excellence Award during the inaugural Universal Health Care (UHC) Health System Capacity (HSC) Awarding Ceremony held in Tagaytay City, on November 26, 2025, recognizing their exemplary efforts in advancing health outcomes and achieving DOH goals through teamwork, innovation, and dedication.
The prestigious award highlights the region’s commitment to implementing health programs that ensure accessible, quality, and equitable health services for all Filipinos.
“Receiving the Silver Excellence Award is a testament to the hard work, collaboration, and unwavering dedication of our health workers across the Ilocos Region,” Regional Director Paula Paz M. Sydiongco said.
“This achievement reflects our shared mission to improve the health and well-being of every community we serve.”
The DOH UHC HSC Awards aim to recognize regions and health offices that exemplify best practices in service delivery, effective governance, and measurable health outcomes. Ilocos Region’s recognition was attributed to its strong coordination among local government units, health facilities, and community stakeholders, as well as its innovative programs addressing maternal and child health, disease prevention, and health education.
