IN a powerful demonstration of community spirit and shared responsibility toward education, SM Supermalls across Batangas actively participated in the Department of Education’s annual Brigada Eskwela.
Employee volunteers, security forces, and maintenance personnel from SM City Batangas, SM City Lipa, SM Center Lemery and SM City Sto. Tomas joined hands with local schools to prepare clean, vibrant, and welcoming environments for students in the upcoming school year.
At Gulod Integrated School in Batangas City, the volunteer team from SM City Batangas worked together to clear and clean the school grounds and repaint classroom flooring, transforming the spaces into bright, fresh areas optimized for learning.
Meanwhile, SM City Lipa mobilized its team to support the Brigada Eskwela activities at Plaridel Elementary School.
The team focused their efforts on ceiling replacements and repainting classroom exteriors and garden area to spruce up the school’s surroundings.
Furthering this wave of volunteerism, the team from SM Center Lemery trooped to Dayapan Elementary School and conducted a thorough cleanup of the campus and meticulously repainted vital school structures, including classroom windows, doors, student chairs, metal barricades, the school gate, and the campus stage.
Extending the initiative across the province, SM City Sto. Tomas volunteers visited Sta. Anastacia – San Rafael National High School.
The team dedicated their time to cleaning up classrooms, repairing damaged doors, and repainting student chairs and windows.
To ensure sustainable support, excess paint and materials were also donated to the school for future maintenance.
Joining the yearly Brigada Eskwela is a core part of SM Supermalls’ employee volunteerism program, reflecting the company’s enduring commitment to community development and nation-building through education.
