QUEZON CITY — Pride PH and the Quezon City Government are returning to the University of the Philippines Diliman as hundreds of thousands of LGBTQIA+ Filipinos and allies gather once again for what has become Asia’s largest Pride demonstration—a powerful celebration of visibility, solidarity, and the continuing pursuit of equality.

Building on the historic momentum of recent years, this year’s Pride PH Festival marks another milestone for a movement that continues to grow in both scale and significance.

After drawing more than 250,000 participants to UP Diliman last year, organizers are expanding the festival experience while remaining firmly rooted in Pride’s enduring purpose: creating a space where LGBTQIA+ Filipinos can celebrate their identities, strengthen community ties, and advance the fight for equal rights and dignity.

Returning to UP Diliman carries both practical and symbolic importance. For generations, the university has served as a cradle of activism, democratic discourse, and social transformation. Hosting Pride within its grounds affirms that the struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights is inseparable from the broader pursuit of human rights, inclusion, and social justice.

The success of last year’s gathering also demonstrated UP Diliman’s capacity to safely and effectively welcome hundreds of thousands of attendees. Its expansive open spaces, accessibility, and supportive environment make it an ideal venue for one of the region’s most significant expressions of community and advocacy.

“Quezon City stands proudly with every LGBTQIA+ Filipino in the ongoing fight for equality, dignity, and human rights,” said Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte. “Pride is not simply an event we host—it is a commitment we live out every day through policies, programs, and partnerships that ensure every person can thrive, free from discrimination and prejudice. As we celebrate how far we have come, we also reaffirm that the work of building a truly inclusive society continues.”

The partnership among Pride PH, the Quezon City Government, and UP Diliman reflects a shared vision of creating spaces where diversity is celebrated, voices are amplified, and everyone is empowered to participate fully and authentically in society.

This year’s festival introduces an expanded and more immersive experience through multiple event spaces across the venue. Rather than centering activities in a single location, organizers are creating diverse hubs for engagement, allowing attendees to experience Pride through advocacy, culture, education, and community-building.

At the heart of the celebration remains the Pride March—a vibrant and visible expression of solidarity that serves as both a celebration of identity and a powerful call for equality and human rights.

Festival-goers can explore the Pride Expo, connect with community organizations and advocacy groups, experience QueerCon, and participate in programs hosted across satellite stages and activation areas throughout the venue.

This year’s programming also places special emphasis on participation and representation, with dedicated conversations, initiatives, and safe spaces centered on youth, health, women, and trans communities—ensuring that the diversity of LGBTQIA+ experiences is reflected throughout the festival.

Through the #LOVELAB4N Pride Festival, Pride PH and the Quezon City Government seek to foster meaningful dialogue, strengthen community connections, and spotlight the issues that continue to affect LGBTQIA+ Filipinos nationwide.

At the forefront of this year’s advocacy agenda are calls for stronger legal protections and equal rights, including the passage of a national SOGIE Equality Law and the recognition of marriage equality in the Philippines.

“Pride has always been about more than celebration,” Pride PH said. “It is about visibility, solidarity, and the collective work of building a society where every person can live freely, safely, and with dignity. Every march, every conversation, and every act of allyship brings us closer to that goal.”

As conversations around equality and inclusion continue to evolve both locally and globally, Pride remains an essential platform where LGBTQIA+ Filipinos can be seen, heard, and supported—while strengthening bonds among allies, advocates, and communities.

By embedding care, sustainability, accessibility, and community-building into every aspect of the festival, organizers hope to create an impact that extends far beyond a single day—fueling a movement that continues long after the last rainbow flag is raised.
