STO. TOMAS CITY, Batangas – Philippine Manufacturing Co. of Murata, Inc. (PMM) welcomed members of the Batangas press to its first-ever Media Day 2026, opening its facilities for a closer look at the company’s operations, technology, and community initiatives while strengthening its relationship with local media organizations.
Held under the theme "Building Bridges with the Press," the event gathered 21 media representatives from 18 news organizations across the province. The activity served as an opportunity for journalists to learn more about Murata’s presence in Batangas and its role in the electronics manufacturing industry.
In his welcome message, PMM President Shuichiro Goto said the gathering was intended to go beyond introducing the company to the media. He expressed hope that the event would help participants better understand Murata's mission, values, and the impact of its work on society.
Goto also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the Murata Philosophy, which emphasizes innovation, responsible business practices, and the development of technologies that contribute to improving people's lives.
As part of the program, company representatives presented an overview of Murata's operations and engaged members of the media in discussions on technological innovation, workplace culture, corporate social responsibility, and community development initiatives. The company also sought feedback on how it can further strengthen its communication and partnership with local media.
Participants were later given a guided tour of the company’s facilities, allowing them to observe Murata's manufacturing processes, quality standards, and technological capabilities firsthand.
The visit also provided a better understanding of the company's contribution to the country’s electronics manufacturing sector.
Beyond its manufacturing operations, Murata highlighted several programs focused on education, environmental sustainability, employee development, and community welfare.
