AGENTS of the National Bureau of Investigation – Calabarzon arrested an 18-year-old student for allegedly pimping her classmates online in Batangas.
Arrested was alias “Mae,” a senior high school student.
Operatives rescued 12 girls, including a minor, during the operation.
Alias “Mae” did not resist when handcuffed by operatives during an entrapment operation at a beach resort in Balayan, Batangas.
According to the NBI, the suspect used two dummy social media accounts to send her classmates’ photos to prospective clients.
“’Yung target talaga nila rito na kliyente is foreigner. So, kaya nga ‘yung venue, meron na silang venue na resort na malapit din na ginagamit na magbakasyon o mag-swimming doon. Para aside from beach ay meron ding sexual exploitation,” NBI-Calabarzon regional director Glen Ricarte told a television interview.
The suspect admitted to the crime, saying she needed money to support her studies.
The rescued girls were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Batangas for proper disposition.
