Camp Vicente Lim, Calamba City – AN abandoned red Honda CRV was recovered by members of Batangas Provincial Highway Patrol Team in a vacant lot in Batangas City 9n November 09, 2023 at about 6:25 PM.
Investigators are looking into the possibility that said vehicle is linked to the disappearance of the Beauty Queen, Catherine Camilon.
Based on the police report, a phone call was received by Batangas PHPT from CIDG-PFU Batangas informing them that there was an abandoned four-wheeled motor vehicle in a vacant lot in Sitio Ilaya, Brgy. Dumuclay, Batangas City. Upon receipt thereof, personnel of PHPT-Batangas responded to conduct an investigation.
Initial investigation disclosed, that on the morning of November 08, 2023, said vehicle was left unattended and remains unclaimed to date. The vehicle has no plate number and no conduction sticker.
Further, personnel from Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit (BPFU) and personnel from Batangas PPO EOD were requested to conduct explosive intensive search.
Furthermore, during the conduct of visual inspection, it was revealed that the engine and chassis numbers of the said vehicle were tampered with the use of a grinding machine.
An in-depth investigation is being conducted by Batangas PHPT to identify the owner of said vehicle. Likewise, the said vehicle is now in the custody of the Batangas Provincial Forensic Unit at Batangas PPO, for a thorough forensic examination.
