Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez welcomes newly nominated Philippine envoys endorsed by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to the Commission on Appointments for foreign postings. The envoys were accompanied by officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs during a courtesy call at the Speaker’s Office in the House of Representatives Monday, June 9, 2025. Among the ambassador-designates present were Maria Teresa Almojuela (Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany), Arvin De Leon (Ambassador to Mexico with concurrent jurisdiction over Cuba, Dominican Republic, Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama), Bernadette Therese Fernandez (Ambassador the Republic of Korea), Alan Deniega (Ambassador to the Republic of Poland, with concurrent jurisdiction over Lithuania and Ukraine) and Evangeline Ong Jimenez-Ducrocq (Permanent Representative to ASEAN, based in Jakarta, Indonesia).
