A BARANGAY kagawad was shot dead by his neighbor who allegedly owed him money in Bgy. Buna Lejos 1, Indang, Cavite on Monday.
Victim Willy Costa, of Bgy. Buna Lejos 2 and a barangay kagawad in the village, succumbed to a gunshot wound.
Suspect Cerilo Berber, a neighbor of the victim, fled after the shooting.
An investigation showed Costa and Berber had a heated argument over the money the suspect owed the victim.
Costa was asking for the money he lent to Berber when the suspect got angry, took his gun and shot the kagawad.
