PUMANAW na ang beteranong aktor at direktor na si Ricky Davao sa edad na 63.
Kinumpirma ang pagpanaw ni Ricky sa isang social media post ng kanyang anak na si Ara noong Biyernes ng gabi.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Ricky Davao. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his children and loved ones, after bravely facing complications related to cancer,” sa isang post sa social media ,.
“For more than four decades, he dedicated his life to the craft of acting and directing. His remarkable body of work and award-winning performances have left a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire. Most of all he was a loving father, brother, son, and friend,” dagdag pa nito .
“We are deeply grateful for your prayers, love, and kind messages during this difficult time. Details about his memorial service will be shared soon,”
Mag-64 na sana si Ricky ngayong Mayo.
Matatandaang nagbida siya sa mahigit isang daang pelikula, kabilang ang “Oki Doki Doc: The Movie,” “Ang Lalaki sa Buhay ni Selya,” “Bayaning 3rd World,” at “Hibla,” at marami pang iba.
Nanalo rin siya ng ilang Best Actor trophies para sa 1998 movie na “Saranggola” sa Gawad Urian, Cinemanila International Film Festival, at Star Awards for Movies.
Ikinasal si Ricky sa aktres na si Jackie Lou Blanco noong 1989 ngunit naghiwalay ang dalawa nang maglaon.
Mayroon siyang tatlong angak na sina Kenneth, Rikki Mae at Ara.
