THE weeklong Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) by the Bulacan police led to the arrest of 187 lawbreakers and the confiscation of some P240,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr. Hidalgo, quoting a report from Bulacan police director Col. Relly Arnedo, said some 52 people were arrested in a series of drug buy-busts conducted by Station Drug Enforcement Units of the Bulacan police.
Confiscated were 104 sachets of suspected shabu, 11 sachets of dried marijuana leaves worth P240,290, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.
Hidalgo said 106 felons were caught during the implementation of the warrants of arrest, including seven most wanted persons were who were nabbed by the tracker teams of different police stations, with the joint efforts of the 301st Mobile Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion-3, Bulacan Provincial Highway Patrol Team, 24th Special Action Company Special Action Force and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bulacan.
Some 29 illegal gamblers were arrested in the act of playing illegal card games and “cara y cruz.”
Seized were assorted gambling paraphernalia and bet money.
According to Arnedo, this accomplishment of the Bulacan police is the manifestation of its unyielding efforts and relentless campaign against wanted persons, illegal drugs, loose firearms, illegal gambling, and all other criminal activities.
Hidalgo lauded the Bulacan PNP for their dedication and commitment to rid the society of lawless elements.
